Capital Murder

Capital murder is the most serious offense and is punishable by death or life without parole.   When a death sentence is imposed, it is reviewed by the Court of Criminal Appeals.  Matters outside the record are also reviewed through a petition for a writ of habeas corpus.  These proceedings are also reviewed by the federal courts as well in what is considered to be the most complex litigation in any field of law.
